After going through the immigration process herself, Mrs. McDowell became truly interested in immigration law. In 2006, she moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University, School of Law, where she participated in the Civil Law Clinic and provided free legal representation to the indigent in the community.
In 2009, Mrs. McDowell was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyer Association, as well as the Lubbock Area Bar Association since 2009.
I grew up in Juarez, Chihuahua (Mexico). Thanks to my parent’s hard work and dedication, I was able to come to “the land of opportunities” when I was 7 years old. I graduated College in 2007, and I have been trying to make a difference in our community ever since.
Growing up in a border city helped me appreciate the struggles that people living on each side of the border face daily. My passion is to help other immigrants achieve their own “American Dream,” working with Mrs. McDowell has allowed me to do what I truly love. Therefore, I strive to deliver the best experience possible to all our clients.
I was born in Juarez, Mexico. I went through the immigration process myself when I was 8 years old and moved to El Paso, TX. Since I was raised in a border town, I understand the struggle and culture shock that going through the immigration process can have on people. Have been fortunate enough and grateful on the amazing life that I have fulfilled.
I moved to Lubbock, TX in 2017, and I am very grateful for the opportunity of working with Mrs. McDowell and to help others through the process that I once went through. Helping my community in every possible way and making their dreams come true has been a blessing and honor.
I was born in Lubbock, Texas. However, my parents are from a small town in Guanajuato, Mexico. Thanks to my parents’ hard work, I grew up in the U.S. with many opportunities my parents never had. I am proud to say that I am a first-generation college student.
When I visit my parents’ hometown, I see the sacrifices that people make every day to provide for their families. It made me realize how blessed I was to have been born in this country.
I enjoy working with Mrs. McDowell because I help people who have left everything behind to come to the U.S. to provide a better future for their family, just like my parents did for me.
